Library Cards

Getting a library card is easy — and completely free! Just stop by the Wellsburg Public Library to fill out a short registration form in person. We’ll get you set up so you can start borrowing books, using digital resources, accessing computers, and enjoying all the benefits the library offers.

Who Can Get a Card?

Everyone is welcome here.
The Wellsburg Public Library follows a full Open Access policy, which means anyone, regardless of where they live, is eligible for a library card.

Keeping Your Account Up to Date

To help us serve you better, we’ll occasionally update your contact information. This makes it easy to reach you about holds, reminders, or program information.

Using Your Card

Most patrons have full borrowing privileges right away, though checkout limits may be placed temporarily for brand-new accounts. We simply ask that cardholders keep their accounts in good standing by returning items on time and resolving any overdue materials or fees.
If an account becomes overdue or has unresolved issues, it may be temporarily blocked until everything is squared away — but don’t worry, staff are here to help.

Digital Services

Your library card gives you access to digital content as well, including eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming services.
Please note: Some digital services, such as Hoopla, have borrowing restrictions based on residency. Staff can help you determine which online resources are available for your address.

Your library card opens the door to books, digital resources, programs, and so much more. Stop in and get yours today!
